Quick answer
The cheapest broad panel per measured marker we track is Empirical Health's heart panel at $190 one time, about $2.88 per measured marker, followed by Maximus's Optimal panel at $3.23. For eleven core tests bought one by one, Mito Health was lowest all in on October 31, 2026, and Ulta Lab Tests lowest among classic lab stores. None needs your own doctor's order.

"Full panel" means different things on different sites. Below we compare three ways to buy one: a membership, a ready-made lab panel, and the same core tests bought one by one. Every plan we track is ranked by yearly price on our price page and by cost per measured marker on the biomarker page.

Way 1: a broad panel, priced per measured marker

A low headline price can hide a short list, so we divide each plan's yearly price by the markers it actually measures, with calculated ratios taken out.

Plan Price Measured markers Per measured marker
Empirical Health heart panel $190 one time 66 $2.88
Maximus Optimal $199.99 a year 62 $3.23
Function Health $365 a year, two draws 99 $3.69
Superpower $199 a year 54 $3.69
Labcorp OnDemand Comprehensive $189 one time 51 $3.71
Everlywell 360 $399 a year 76 $5.25
Ulta Comprehensive $449.95 plus a $12.95 standard draw fee per collection one time 77 $6.01
Quest Elite Health Profile $405 one time 61 $6.64

Two cautions. Labcorp's Comprehensive Health Test reaches its count partly through urinalysis lines, so it is long but shallow. Maximus's Optimal panel estimates ApoB by formula rather than measuring it, and Maximus says comprehensive panels come with no physician review. A plan's own list is linked from its review.

Way 2: the same core tests, one by one

Most people who order their own labs want a short list: blood count, metabolic panel, lipids, A1c, hs-CRP, ApoB, Lp(a), vitamin D, ferritin, TSH and testosterone. Here is that set priced test by test, list prices read on October 31, 2026, with each store's per-order fee added.

Store Total for 11 tests Per-order fee Notes
Ulta Lab Tests $350.45 ($363.40 with the $12.95 draw fee, Ulta FAQ) $12.95 standard draw fee per collection All 11 sold singly; runs at Quest
Walk-In Lab $466.00 $6 physician fee Labcorp or Quest
Request A Test $543.00 $4 service fee Labcorp prices shown
Labcorp OnDemand $639.00 None shown October sale prices not used
Mito Health $105.86 ($90.86 in tests plus the $15 Quest draw fee) $15 per Quest visit ($11.50 Labcorp, $9.50 BioReference) Non-member prices; one visit
Marek Diagnostics $122.50 for 9 of 11 $10 venipuncture fee, free over $199 No single Lp(a) or total testosterone

The full table, test by test with a link to each price, is in the build-it-yourself section. Mito's single-test prices are the lowest we found, and its FAQ now names the draw fee per lab visit, so its total above is all in for one Quest visit. Marek's total leaves out two tests it does not sell alone.

Way 3: a ready-made lab panel

Lab stores also sell bundles. They are convenient, but they rarely include ApoB or Lp(a), which are the two markers people most often add.

Personalabs Wellness Checkup (6 tests) $150 Personalabs
Request A Test Ultimate Wellness (Labcorp) $269 plus $4 Request A Test

Do you need a doctor?

Not to order. Every option above includes an order from a physician the company works with. Federal law (CLIA) requires a test request from an authorized person and leaves the definition to each state, which is why New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island are excluded by lab stores. Ulta's FAQ names those three as the states where the law prohibits direct-access testing (Ulta Lab Tests FAQ). Our guide to ordering your own blood test covers each state.

You do still need someone to make sense of the results. Lab stores mostly leave that to you and your own clinician; memberships include a clinician summary.

Which is cheapest for you

  • You want a broad overview once a year: a membership or heart panel priced per measured marker, from the first table.
  • You know the ten tests you want: a lab store, test by test.
  • You live in NY, NJ or RI: lab stores are out; see each plan's state price on our state pages.

For single tests rather than a panel, see blood test cost without insurance; for the broadest panels regardless of price, see full body blood test cost. The store with the lowest core-panel total is reviewed in our Ulta Lab Tests review.

Questions

FAQ

What is the cheapest full blood panel without insurance?

By cost per measured marker, Empirical Health's heart panel at $190 one time. For a short list of common tests, ordering them singly at a lab store costs less.

Can I get a full blood panel without a doctor's order?

Yes, in most states: the service includes an order from its own physician network. New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island restrict direct-access testing.

Is a lab store cheaper than Function Health?

For eleven common tests, yes. Function costs $365 a year and measures 99 markers over two draws, so it is cheaper per marker if you use the breadth.

Why not just count the provider's marker number?

Because many counts include calculated ratios, repeat draws and urinalysis findings. We divide by measured markers only.

Do these prices include the blood draw?

Membership prices include the draw at a patient service center. Lab stores differ: Ulta and Mito add a draw fee per visit at checkout, and Marek adds one to single-test orders below its free-draw threshold; the table above includes each fee.

Can I pay with HSA or FSA funds?

Most of these services say they accept HSA or FSA cards. Check with your plan administrator.
